The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed that two persons were seriously injured in the crash which involved many vehicles.

According to the Corps Public Education Officer, Jonas Agwu, the road crash was attributed to spillage of petrol from a Tanker (XA903GGW) which fell down, resulting to a fire outbreak, affecting 11 Trailers, 10 Luxury buses, 5 Mini Buses, 4 Tankers, 2 Pick-up vehicles , a car and 176 people.
