The Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has dedicated their victory to the families of those who lost their lives in the Dana Airline crash in Lagos.
According to Keshi “ We honestly want to dedicate this victory to the family of the victims. We pray that the family members will have the strength to move on. We mourn with them. We ought to be enjoying this victory, but it is not important now with this kind of calamity. We pray their souls rest in peace.”
Super Eagles on Sunday defeated the Brave Warriors of Namibia in the 2014 World Cup qualifier by securing a 1-0 victory through Ike Uche in the 81st minute at the U.J. Esuene stadium, Calabar.
