The governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole, has urged the people of the state not to be intimidated by presence of federal government and its machineries ahead of the gubernatorial rally of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Vice President, Namadi Sambo is expected in Benin City on Saturday at the PDP gubernatorial rally in Edo State.

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole while addressing a rally at Upper Lawani Street, Oredo local Government Area called on the Vice President to ensure he goes beyond the stadium to see for himself and compare the achievements of the PDP and the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

The governor who is seeking another term in office on the platform of ACN, urged the people to come out en masse and vote for his re-election on the 14th of July rather than assume that being a popular candidate, he will win effortlessly without their votes.

The Oshiomhole campaign rally which is at the ward and community stage, was in Oredo, where some youths in a protest, called on the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC), not to use federal government workers for the forthcoming election instead of youth corps members.

The governor who proceeded to Third Junction in Benin City, and then to Iyekeogba village still under Oredo Local Government, appealed to the people to come out en masse and cast their votes to earn him a return to office.
