NYSC affirms neutrality of corps members in Edo elections

Director General of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), Brigadier General Nnamdi Okorie-Affiah has described allegations of compromise leveled against corp members in Edo state by some political parties as ‘mere fabrications

General Okorie-Affiah who paid a working visit to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said the payment of hazard allowance to the corp members by the Edo state government is not illegal, as the state is not the only state paying the hazard allowance.

The nation’s electoral umpire, Professor Attahiru Jega in his response assured the NYSC’s DG, that corp members will be provided with adequate security to ensure that they put in their best towards having credible elections.
