Two different auto crashes in Ogun state on Sunday has left no fewer than 24  people on danger list in hospitals.

The first accident which occurred at10 a.m. in Sango in the Ado-Odo/ Ota Local Government Area involved 20 people who were crushed by a truck owned by Dangote Cement Factory.

Eyewitnesses said no fewer than 20 people were on danger list  following the accident that involved six vehicles, one Keke Marwa and a  motorcycle.

They also said, the truck crushed the vehicles thereby injuring the occupants seriously.

The Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ayobami Omiyale, who confirmed the accident, however said only five people were involved.

Acording to him, “Five people were involved, three of them were taken to Ifo General Hospital while two were referred to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. Nobody died.”

While explaining the cause of the  accident, Mr. Omiyale said; “there was a  head-on collision between the truck   and a Tipper lorry which later involved other vehicles,” stressing that nobody  died but five sustained serious injuries.

Another accident which occurred at Mowe on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway at 12p.m,  almost claimed 19 lives.

The accident, according to Mr Omiyale, “involved a black Toyota Hilux with number-plate  AH 350GKW and white Mazda bus number-plate XZ377GGE as a  result of head-on collision.

He said  the  19 victims who included two women were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were receiving treatment.
