The Adamawa State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Kugama on Wednesday Said that the crisis in Jos would have been nothing compared with what would have happened in the state had Markus Gundiri of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) won the February 4 governorship election.
Mr Kugama, who was responding to allegations of irregularities in the election engineered by the PDP, said it would have been impossible for Mr. Gundiri to have won the election.
“The aspirant and his clique have brought a religious problem in the state. Because all the people that he is moving round with are the same religion. You are a Christian, Kilba by tribe and your deputy governor, Chamba by tribe and everybody knows in this country that Adamawa State is Fulani dominated area. How can you come and win the election there?” he said.
