Queens Park Rangers and Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal to have Jose Bosingwa Chelsea’s defender move to Loftus Road so as to play his trade for QPR.

Bosingwa was lucky to mark the end of his contract last season with a Champions League and FA Cup dramatic win for his Stamford bridge club after which he was released by Chelsea.

QPR Boss Mark Hughes has confirmed that discussions on Portuguese fullback’s transfer is now at the advanced stage and if the deal is sealed then Bosingwa can now be set to cross the west London divide as he concluded that QPR is very keen to sign him over which will be concluded in the next few hours.

Mark Hughes said “He is the right quality and has a lot of football left in him as well, he is only 29 and we would be delighted if we could bring him to the club.

“I think he now understands what we are trying to do here and that is why players of his ilk are seriously considering coming to Queens Park Rangers now.” he concluded.
