The Kogi State police command has intercepted and arrested two persons who were suspected to be planning the bombing of a church and a mosque on Sallah day at Lokoja, the state capital.

The suspected suicide bombers where in a luxurious bus at the Murtala Mohammed bridge Lokoja on their way back from a northern state.

The state police commissioner, Mohammed Katsina disclosed this in Eika Adagun in central senatorial district in Kogi state, where another bomb factory has been discovered.

Mr Katsina said the suicide bombers were arrested through the deputy commissioner of police operations,  Mohammed Zanna.

He said the suspects were the people who lunched the attack at the Deeper Life Bible Church, which killed worshippers in Eika Adagun some weeks ago.

He  further said that during the arrest,  Improvise Explosive Device (IED) were found with them.

Similarly two bomb factories were discovered at two different local government areas in central senatorial district of the state.

The first visited was at Eika Adagun which is just a stone throw to the attacked deeper life church in Okehi local government council, while the second was an estate which is served as factory to Limit Nigeria Ltd, makers of Electricity Poles at Okene check point.

Some of the items recovered from the factories were two rocket lunchers ammunition, 4 AK47, two military type AK47, 696 rounds of ammunitions, 20 magazines, 20 meters of dyne cord, large quantity of empty milk cans, 3 locally made pistol, one pipe bomb casing amongst others.
