Discussing Kogi state impeachment on Sunrise Daily, one of the lawmakers of the Kogi state house of assembly; Honourable Garba Daudu was on the breakfast programme via telephone to comment on the recent order of closure of the state house of assembly by the House of Representatives if the kogi House of Assembly cannot resolve the issues within themselves .

It would be recalled that the Speaker of the Kogi state house of assembly Abdullahi Bello was impeached along with and ten other principal officers.

The Kogi state House of Assembly has been in disarray in the last few months over plan by some aggrieved members to remove the Speaker and other principal officers of the House.

The Speaker has been having a running battle with some lawmakers who had been plotting to remove him from office.

It is not clear how many lawmakers were at the impeachment sitting as the House was not set to sit when it did.

The Minority Leader of the assembly, Yori Afolabi, had previously warned against the desperate attempt to remove the leadership of the House, noting that the executive arm of government is dangling N15 million to any lawmaker who consents to the plot.

The House of assembly then elected Lawal Jimoh to replace Mr Bellow as Speaker.

Honourable Garuba gave an update that the House of Representatives accused the Kogi state House of Assembly of lacking the understanding of the constitution of the while they paid the Kogi lawmakers a visit, thereby passing judgement before hearing form the Kogi lawmakers as the House Representatives wrote the Inspector general of Police to seal the Kogi House of Assembly before they proceed for the fact-finding mission.
