Disturbed by series of the allegations levelled against it by People’s Democratic Party (PDP) elders forum in Abuja, the Kogi state government has reacted by telling its own side of the story.

At a press conference in Lokoja the state capital, the Kogi state Commissioner for Information, Mr Yabagi Bologi told reporters that the state governor Captain Idris Wada is not responsible for the crisis faced by the PDP in the state.

Bologi explained that a group of self-styled PDP elders in Kogi, setting aside all known rules of constructive criticism and positive engagement, chose to attack the credibility of the state governor and describe him as an inept, corrupt and rudderless leader.

The Commissioner noted that the state governor has emphasised that he has no hand in the impeachment of former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Abdullahi Bello.

He challenged those making the allegation to come up with evidence as he claimed that they are on a wild goose chase.

The Commissioner stressed that the crises in the House of Assembly is purely an internal affair of the lawmakers and the executive have resisted every attempt to take sides in the crises.

Also reacting to barrage of allegations, the Special Adviser to the state governor on media and strategy, Mr Jacob Edi, referred to the PDP elders as ‘failed politicians’ who have nothing to offer the state. He declared that the state governor has come to stay.
