The Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola on Monday performed the swearing in ceremony of the State Acting Chief Judge, Justice Gloria Oladoke in Osogbo, the state capital.

The governor, who described the ceremony as symbolic, said the oath of office taken by Justice Oladoke was a quest for justice and an affirmation of oneness with the universe in the pursuit of justice.

“What we are doing today therefore is symbolic of the quest for justice. An oath is a sacred thing. It is an affirmation of oneness with the universe in the pursuit of the universal purpose”.

He said when a judge takes oath of office; he or she was saying that he or she would never deviate from the universal objective of providing justice for all, irrespective of class and that upon taking their oath of offices, the judges have vowed that they would accept every retribution that comes with the subversion of this purpose.

Justice Oladoke is the most senior Judge of the Osun State High Court.

She was appointed a Judge of the High Court on December 21, 2000 and became the President of the Customary Court of Appeal in July, 2010.
