Upcoming artiste Sexy Steel emerged as the big winner at the 6th edition of the Nigerian Music Video Awards (NMVA) 2012.

Sexy Steel’s ‘Bebedi Alhaja’ won the coveted prize for the Best Video of the year while the director of the music video, Patrick Elis, won the prize for best director.

The ‘Bebedi Alhaja’ video which is old school themed, was also adjudged the video with Best Indigenous Concept.

R&B singer, Tiwa Savage and Jeffrey, both won two wards each.

Ms Savage’s ‘Ife wa gbona‘ won the prizes for the Best High Life and Best Editor (Bolaji Kekere Ekun).

Jeffery’s ‘Tona Tona‘, won the prizes for Best R&B Video and Best New Director (Aje Films).

The event which held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, featured performances from top Nigerian artistes such as Tuface Idibia, Iyanya, Davido and Olamide.

Other performers were Capital-Femi, Chidinma, X-Project, Sexy Steel and Goldie.

The hosts of the event were ace comedian, Basket Mouth and Tiwa Savage.
