The cost of lending among banks at the interbank market fell in early action as the market resumes from the two-day holiday.

Call money fell 0.42 per cent to 10.7 per cent while the 60-day credit fell 0.12 per cent to 12.9 per cent.

Rates hovered around current levels just before the holidays on an influx of matured treasury bills and more liquidity at the market owing to the closure of the CBN’s foreign exchange market.

Treasury bills worth over N250 billion hit the market last week from the primary market and open market operations window.
