The Executive Director of Social and Economic Rights Action Centre and member of the Lagos Metropolitan development and Governor’s project, Felix Morka on Tuesday said that the government at all level must cede the management of infrastructure to the private sector for there to be development in Nigeria.

Mr Morka, who was a guest on Channels Television’s breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily, said the government is “so grossly incapable” of providing the infrastructures that is needed in Nigeria.

He listed the problem militating against the ability of the government to deliver infrastructure to include streamlined operations and bureaucracy.
“The Nigerian government doesn’t have a track record in the optimization of resources through efficiency,” he said.
