A lawmaker from Ogun State House of Assembly, Remmy Hassan on Thursday confirmed that the fracas that occurred in the hallowed chamber of the state was as a result of misunderstanding caused by the refusal to follow due process.
“Ordinarily you would have expected decorum in the hallowed chambers but I must let you know something, what happened in our chamber on that fateful Tuesday was ordinarily avoidable if due process had been followed’’
Mr Hassan, who was speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, blamed the leadership of the house and the floor members for the “grave error”.
He further said the members of the House were confident some things couldn’t happen because of the laws guiding the operations of the House leadership and membership.
He however said when the reverse is the case “as a lawmaker that is worth your salt, you either speak up or remain voiceless and irrelevant’’.
He also made clarifications on the Tender Board Committee that kick started the fracas in the House
