The Imo State Police command has described the incident making rounds that 10 bodies were found in Mgbirichi burrow pit in Ohaji Egbema local government area of Imo State as unfounded and false alarm raised by the community.

Briefing newsmen in Owerri the Imo state capital, the state Police Public Relations Officer Joy Elemoko said proper investigations and a visit to the scene by the Imo State commissioner of police and his team revealed that there were just 2 bodies at their skeletal stages as the incident of killing might have taken place over 6 months ago as confirmed by pathologists.

Elemoko added that the pathologists who were called in to examine the bodies have submitted their reports and more investigations are still ongoing as the Police commissioner promised to unravel the real story behind the bodies. They however said the Homicide section of the Imo State Police command has been assigned to investigate causes and possible identification of the bodies.

Similarly, the Imo state police command also paraded armed robbery suspects who were alleged to have been specialized in the snatching of tricycle and as well as some other armed robbery suspects who were caught robbing students of their belongings.
