The Federal Government has announced the appointment of Olabisi Jaji as the new Director of Customs, Immigrations, and Prisons Pension Office.
The embattled former chairman of the Pension Reform Task Force, Mr Abdulrasheed Maina, was removed from his position at the pension office following his failure to report to duty over a prolonged period without any permission.
The former pension boss is embroiled in a N195 billion pension scam and is on the wanted list of the Nigeria Police Force.
The fugitive pension boss had failed to honour a number of invitations by the Senate Committee that was investigating the pension scam.
The National Assembly had demanded the dismissal of Mr. Maina and his arrest by the police.
His removal is coming after President Goodluck Jonathan directed the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Alhaji Isa Sali, to commence disciplinary action against Mr. Maina for absconding from duty.
The police have since declared him wanted.
The former Pension officer has filed a N1.5billion suit against the National Assembly and police authority, alleging abuse of his human rights.
