The Kogi state Governor Capt. Idris Wada as appealed to members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to put any anger that came up during the primaries and congress of the party behind them so that they can win the forth coming local government council election.

Speaking in Ayingba while flagging off the Senatorial Chairmanship/Councillorship campaign of the party in the forthcoming local government council election on May 4th, He noted that PDP is a mature party stressing that whatever challenges they might be facing now will be overcome.

cal governments and appealed to the electorates to come out and vote PDP so that the party’s transformation agenda can transform the women.

The state party chairman, Hassan Salawu, while addressing the crowd thanked the people for stabilizing the Wada-led government and noted that the PDP is the only party that is welcomed and recognized by the people of the state.

The governor, Capt. Idris Wada (Rtd), while presenting the candidates with the party flag, urged the people to remain loyal to the party so that they can have a successful and credible election.

He warned that his government is going to protect the votes of the electorates noting “that there will be no room for rigging”.

Party members and loyalists were gathered at the Ayingba Playing Ground amidst tight security to forestall any breakdown of law and order at the venue of the rally.

The local council polls in Kogi state will be coming up on 4th May 2013.
