Mr Farinloye made this known in an interview with ChannelsTV, where he stated that the deluge of reports were made after Lagos residents complained about the lack of a phone number to lodge complains about deficient buildings which are under the threat of collapsing.

The rescue official claimed that in just about two hours of releasing an official number, 36 distress calls came in and people gave the precise location and addresses of such buildings in the nation’s commercial capital city.

Lagos has recorded growing number of building collapse in recent months with a number of deaths.
