Former Minister of Petroleum, Prof. Tam David-West, has described the political crisis rocking Rivers State as a shame, wondering why personal crisis should degenerate to this level.
“These are little things that are not supposed to be a state issue,” he says, adding that President Goodluck Jonathan did not have to come into the issue knowing there are more pressing issues in Nigeria.
Prof. David-West, who was on Channels Television breakfast show, Sunrise Daily, also points out that there is a lot of politics in the Petroleum Industry Bill, which is currently being considered by the National Assembly.
