There was surprise showdown today after Seven-time Wimbledon champion and tournament third seed Roger Federer was knocked out in the second round by 116th-ranked Sergiy Stakhovsky.

And responding to the surprise defeat, Federer said “you can’t have them all” after the defending champion’s remarkable run of reaching 36 consecutive grand slam quarter-finals or better was ended in a shock second-round Wimbledon defeat by unheralded Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky.

Federer said, “Well, I mean, it’s always a disappointment losing any match around the world, in particular here. I’ve had some great moments here, but also some tougher ones so, yup, you can’t have them all.”
