A.C. Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has hinted that the club must be at optimal performances for next season as he set out his objectives during at a news conference which he used as an opportunity to unveil two of the club’s newly signed players.

“The objectives for 2013-2014 are to arrive in the first three spots in the league” Galliani said.

“Get as far along as possible in the Champions’ League. And why not, after all these years, ten years that we haven’t won the Coppa Italia, the last time we won was when we won the Champions League in 2003, it would be welcomed also to win the Coppa Italia,” Galliani added.

Former Sampdoria midfielder Andrea Poli and Serie B Empoli young hopeful Riccardo Saponara shook hands with Galliani and Coach Massimiliano Allegri as they took their places on the podium.

Rossoneri coach Allegri said he would be hoping to start the season better than last year.

“I think our objectives for this season are certainly primarily to enter in the play-offs for the Champions League, this would be the first objective. To start the league much better than last season and to arrive in a good position, these would be my objectives this year” Allegri said.

Whilst Milan started the season badly last year they picked up quickly and ended third in the league behind Juventus and Napoli.
