Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan represented by his vice president; Namadi Sambo yesterday inaugurated the permanent secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation permanent secretariat inside the side B of the National Stadium Abuja.

The building has a 27-room facility as well as a penthouse that will serve as the office of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

After 68 years of its inception, the opening of the gorgeous building will end NFF’s close to seven decades of using temporary offices, initially the football federation- then Nigeria Football Association, NFA- office was at a time located in Lagos, on Ogunlana Drive in Surulere before it was moved to Abuja at the turn of this millennium.

“The NFF and the entire Nigeria football is grateful to His Excellency for approving the project and we also commend the Honourable Minister of Sports for his tremendous support to ensure the completion of the project,” said NFF president, Aminu Maigari, on Tuesday.

The Sports Minister, Bolaji Abdullahi, who performed the sod-turning ceremony for the Football House on February 21, 2012, joined Messrs Jonathan, Maigari, and a number of other cabinet ministers and executive committee members in performing the opening ceremony of the edifice.
