The wedding was held Sunday at the 5,500 square-meter mansion in the town of Kusnacht where the 73-year-old singer, who recently obtained a Swiss passport, has lived with her 57-year-old partner for the past 17 years.
The couple wed in a Buddhist rite, though they had been married in a civil ceremony several days earlier at the Kusnacht town hall, media reports said.
The villa where the lavish wedding took place and which they own was decorated with 70,000 pink and yellow roses.
More than 120 guests were on hand for the occasion, all requested to dress in pure white. Among them were singers Eros Ramazzotti and David Bowie, designer Giorgio Armani and TV show host Oprah Winfrey, all old friends of Turner.
The singer, whose real name is Anna Mae Bullock and who retired after her 2008-09 farewell tour, has lived in Switzerland since 1995.
Turner’s career kicked off in the 1960s when she formed a duo with her husband at the time, Ike Turner.
