Willie Obiano1The Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has offered to settle the health bills of 9 out of 10 secondary school students who survived an accident on their way home from school in Awka, the state capital.

During the visit, Obiano announced that the State Government would pay the bills of the fortunate ones who are still alive and also take care of the funeral responsibilities of the deceased.

The State Governor visited one of the victims whose two legs were crushed and was admitted at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi. The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Anthony Iguegbe, took the Governor and his entourage to the victim’s ward. However, she was not really in a stable mind to speak but could respond with nods.
