Nasarawa-PoliceThe Nasarawa State Police have restricted movement during Saturday’s Local Government Election to ensure proper security of lives and property in the state.

Addressing a press conference in Lafia, the State Capital on Friday, the State Police Commissioner, Mr Ibrahim Idris, said that the joint security committee in Nasarawa State, comprising of the Military, the police and Para-Military agencies took the decision to ensure a peaceful conduct of the election.

Mr Idris explained that the security agencies in the state would strictly observed its constitutional mandate during the election by providing adequate security throughout the election period.

The restriction of movement commenced midnight of Friday, March 21 until the election is over.
