web_prog_businessmorningIf Nigeria must move up the value chain, revamping the education sector is a key factor to achieving that as education is an important factor in reshaping and developing the world.

That’s the opinion of the Vice Chairman, Proudly-Nigerian Project, Mr Emeka Izuorah and the Executive Director Center for Values Leadership, Uchenna Achunine.

They believe that for our schools to churn out the right materials which can make up a competitive workforce, there must be a complete overhaul of the education system right from nursery to the tertiary level.

They also called for a revamp of teacher training colleges across the country, as this will equip the teachers with the right tools they need to carry out their jobs effectively.

Also on the programme, the head of Nigerians in Diaspora Group, Mr Pedro Okojie expressed optimism about the forthcoming World Economic Forum Africa meeting in Abuja in May.

He is positive that it will be an opportunity to showcase Nigeria as a fertile ground for investment.

He therefore asked the federal and state governments to open up to Nigerians in diaspora for partnership that could bring about development in the country.
