The National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) has confirmed the death of ten people from the bomb blast that happened in Nyanya Abuja. The agency said several people were also injured in the blast and have been taken to various hospitals in the FCT.
The bomb, which exploded some metres from the scene of the blast that occurred on the 14th of April, was said to have exploded at about 8:20PM from a white Golf Volkswagen vehicle.
Previous Story: Reports reaching us now says that an explosion has rocked Nyanya in Abuja. An explosion had rocked the Nyanya Park at about 7.00 a.m on the 14th of April 2014 killing scores and injuring many.
The casualty level is not yet confirmed, but a number of people are said to have died and security operatives have taken over the area.
The explosives, like in the first blast, were also contained in white Golf Volkswagen vehicle.
He also reports that security operatives are trying to defuse two bomb-laden cylinders to avoid another explosion.
The Comptroller-General of the National Security and Civil Defence Corp, Dr Ade Abolurin confirmed to Channels Television that some casualties have been taken to the Asokoro General Hospital, though he could not confirm the figure.
