The Nigerian Navy has issued another stern warning to crude oil thieves to stay away from Nigerian waters insisting that there will be no oil thieveshiding place for maritime criminals.

The Commanding Officer, Forward Operating Base Bonni of the Nigerian Navy, Hassan Dogara, stated this at the handing over ceremony of 11 arrested suspects to the economic and financial crimes commission for further investigation.

It will be recalled that the Nigerian Navy had arrested 11 suspects with two wooden boats and a barge containing 230 metric tonnes of crude and five speed boats at creek six in Kalibiama Community.

The two wooden boats had been destroyed in the creek which according to the commanding officer was to forestall further environmental damage caused by the leakage of the crude.

Commodore Dogara used the opportunity to warn crude oil thieves and pipeline vandals that there is no hiding place for them.

Receiving the suspects, EFCC representative, Chinedu Ogbu, informed the press that the case will go to court after due process has been followed.
