In the spirit and mood of the Ramadan Season, the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, hosted Muslim faithful from the 20 Local Government areas of the state and beyond in Abeokuta, the state capital.
The event, which was open to all Muslims, was aimed at enabling the faithfuls to share the joy of Ramadan with the Governor, senior government officials, top dignitaries and leading Islamic scholars and also to pray for more development, peace and security in the state.
Addressing members of the Muslim Umah at the arcade ground of the Governor’s office, Oke Mosan Abeokuta, Amosun used the occasion to thank the people of the state for their support and understanding, promising that his administration would not betray the confidence reposed in him.
He assured them that his administration remained resolute and determined to execute more developmental projects that would promote economic growth and progress of the state.
