police_officers_1The Ondo State Police Command has commenced investigation to unravel the mystery behind the death of a lady who was beheaded and dumped along the Ogbagi-Arigidi Akoko road in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Speaking to Channels Television on the incident in his office in Akure, the Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Mr. Wole Ogodo, disclosed that the Police was alerted on the discovery of the headless body on Saturday morning.

He further informed that the private parts of the victim were also removed by the suspected ritualists.

Ogodo said that the lady was yet to be identified, but the Police had since commenced investigation to arrest the murderers.

The Police image maker advised people, especially young ladies, to avoid travelling at night. He also urged the members of the public with any relevant information relating to the murder to get across to the police.

The Police, he said, needs all support to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of the lady and ensure that the murderers are arrested and prosecuted.
