The Ogun State Government has given the mid-year 2014 budget performance a clean bill of health saying that the various financial management strategies put in place by the administration has ensured prudence, accountability and value for money spent on developmental projects
Addressing reporters at a press briefing held in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, the State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mrs Oluwande Muoyo, put the budget performance at 67.17% as at June 30 against 61.26% achievable in the corresponding period of 2013.
She also announced huge success in the effort to deepen the Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, aimed at attaining financial autonomy for the state in the face of reduction from the federal allocations, as the state IGR has gradually increased to 5 billion Naira monthly.
She assured residents of the state transparency and accountability just as she promised more developmental projects in the implementation of the budget.
