Jessica_and_SamuelIn 2012, Jessica Oluwabunmi Akande and Samuel Ibukunoluwa Adedire met at three different occasions in Canada.

First in the church months later in a football field and lastly at a coffee shop before they realised that it was not just a mere coincidence and the last meeting sparked up a feeling of friendship after they talked for three hours for the first time.

From there, the feelings developed and culminated into the occasion – wedding – that was celebrated on August 16 at Foursquare Gospel Church Headquarters in Yaba Lagos.

The joy of the bride’s father, Mr Yoni Akande, knew no bounds as he excitedly did the honours of leading her daughter to take the decision.

The couple decided to do something different from the norm by coming in at the same time.

Akande is from Kogi State and Adedire is from Ile Ife in Osun State gave their blessing to their children in the presence of the congregation and God.

The first part of the occasion ended in excitement as they danced out of the church.

All attention shifted to the Lagos City Hall, where the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Yomi Awoniyi and Kogi State PDP chieftain Chief Olusola Akomode were amongst the dignitaries that graced the occasion.

The hall was indeed tastefully furnished, befitting of the couple for whom they have all gathered and guests were well dressed as well, adding more colour and class to the already beautiful occasion.

To set the ball rolling, the parents of the day entered the venue, then they were followed by the couple of the day.

When it was time to dance, it was a happy moment, as couple danced with parents.

It didn’t end there, as they took it a notch higher with a choreographed dance with their bridal train, a scene that is becoming coming in wedding ceremonies.
