Chris-Ngige1One of the governorship contestants in the Anambra State election, Senator Chris Ngige, says he is bound by the judgement of the Supreme Court since it was given by the highest court in the land.

Senator Ngige’s reaction is coming a day after the court upheld Governor Willie Obiano’s victory in the November election.

Several comments have trailed the judgement of the Supreme Court.

Senator Ngige, who contested the election under the All Progressives Congress said even though he is not comfortable with the ruling, he had to accept it.

He, however, made a case for the amendment of the Electoral Act to make provision for the burden of proof to rest with the Independent National Electoral Commission.

According to him, the practice of the appellant proving its case will only continue to allow for injustice and political manipulation of the independent national electoral commission.
