Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Badeh, said the meeting was sequel to the meetings in N’djamena in Chad and Niamey in Niger to fine-tune areas in the operations where there were difficulties.

The Nigerian Army had on February 6 signed an operational agreement with Chadian Army to intensify efforts aimed at ending the activities of the terrorist group, Boko Haram in the north-eastern part of Nigeria.

The memorandum of understanding was signed at a meeting held in Abuja between Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshall Badeh and his Chadian counterpart, Major-General Ibrahim Seid Mahamat, to straighten modalities for the counter terrorism operations along the Nigeria-Chad border.
