It has been a festival of goals in season seven of the Channels National Kids Cup with the group phase producing 99 goals.
Muslim Community Elementary School, Osun, Nana Primary School, Delta and Enyeanugie Primary School, Edo state are the high-scoring teams at the grassroots football competition.
In the preliminary round, the boys from Osun scored thirteen goals and conceded three while Delta recorded eleven goals and conceded just two. Enyeanugie Primary School, scored twelve goals and conceded five.
Group B emerged the most competitive with Enyeanugie, Uncle Bayus and Emmanuel Anglican from Ekiti State finishing with six points. Goal differences determined the teams that made it to the quarter finals. Sadly, the team from Ekiti had a minus five goal difference and had to drop with Rochas Foundation Primary School from Imo State.
From group A, Research Model School, Kaduna and 123 Primary School, Niger made it to the quarter-finals while Nana Primary School, Delta and Muslim Community Elementary School, Osun emerged from group B.
Enyeanugie from Edo and Uncle Bayus, Lagos advanced from group C.
In group D, Focal Point Primary School, Kwara and Christ the King, Akwa-Ibom made it to the last eight.
The Channels National Kids Cup quarter-final games will be played on Monday.
