The Imo State Government has urged the Local Government Party Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to woo members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) states in Nigeria’s South-east region.
While receiving the 27 Chairmen, who were on a courtesy visit the the State Government, the Secretary to the Imo State Government, Sir Jude Ejiogu, gave the task at the Government House in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
As the only APC state in the south-east, Mr Ejiogu urged the APC Chairmen and supporters in Imo State to spread their tentacles to other South-east States in order to take over the region come 2019.
He enjoined them to build on the successes recorded in the state, maintaining that the APC has all it takes to change Nigeria for the better.
In another development, Mr Ejiogu stressed that despite the numerous challenges facing the APC at the moment, he is confident and optimistic that the party would come out stronger and better.
