okagbareAfrican queen of sprints, Blessing Okagbare is aiming to break her 100 metres African record of 10.79 seconds after finishing second behind Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce at the Paris Diamond League in France.

Okagbare ran 10.80 seconds, her season’s best, behind world champion, Fraser-Pryce, who ran a world lead to win the women’s 100m in 10.74 seconds.

It wasn’t the best of starts for Okagbare, but she recovered nicely to secure her best finish this year in her 3rd Diamond League race this season.

She is now joint 2nd with 6 points, with Fraser-Pryce topping with 8 points.
