The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry says it hopes the Central Bank of Nigeria will review its policy restricting access to interbank foreign exchange by importers of certain items.
This is the chamber’s position at its dialogue session with the CBN on Nigeria’s forex policy in Lagos.
Business leaders at the event were of the opinion that the policy decision impacts negatively on their ventures.
However, the Director of Monetary Policy at the Central Bank, Mr Moses Tule said that the apex bank is not going to review the prohibition list.
Mr Tule notes that the decision is in the interest of the economy.
