nigerian navyFlag Officer Commanding (FOC) Eastern Naval Command, (ENC)Rear Admiral Henry Babalola has assured the people of Cross River State of effective policing of the waterways in order to ensure peaceful waters for passengers and investors travelling by water into the state.

According  to the Rear Admiral, through the support of the Chief of Naval Staff, the Eastern Naval Command has been equipped with inventory vessels that are capable of patrolling the commands territorial waters and the numerous creeks around the command.

The FOC gave the disclosure at the passing out parade of the 2014/2015 final year students of the Nigerian Navy Secondary School Akpabuyo, Calabar the Cross River State.

The FOC maintained that, though the command may have recorded some criminal cases in time past, the ENC is not relenting in its oars in ensuring that, intensive security is beefed up to combat unrepentant sea pirates.

Reviewing a parade mounted in his honour, Rear Admiral Babalola commended the Management of the Nigerian Navy Secondary School for the kind of discipline instilled on their students which he believes will grow future security experts in the nation.

Commandant of the institution, Commander  Eleazu Uriri urged the graduating students to remain ambassadors of the school even as they embrace the larger society.
