planned parenthoodSenate Republicans are planning to vote on legislation to cut 500 million Dollars in annual federal funding for planned parenthood.

The voting is to come in a few days time, owing to a fight in congress over the issue of abortion which had been dormant.

Over the years, a target of conservatives planned parenthood had come under increasing scrutiny due to secretly recorded videos about its role in supplying aborted fetal tissue for medical research.

An anti-abortion group, Center for Medical Progress on Tuesday, released the third of a series of videos, saying this is proof that planned parenthood staff, sell fetal material from abortions for profit.

Senate Majority Leader, Mitch Mcconnell, said that a meeting would be held to discuss the best way to deal with the horrendous videos that had been viewed.

Planned Parenthood, however, said that the videos were the latest attack in a campaign against it and denies any wrongdoing.

It further said that abortions comprise only three per cent of its services.
