Nasarawa State Government has announced a 100,000 Naira donation to each of the 40 HIV/AIDS infected persons in the state.
The fund donation was announced on Sunday at a ceremony to mark the end of an empowerment programme organised by the office of the Nasarawa State First Lady for the HIV?AIDS infected persons.
The State Government also offered automatic employment to 10 of the infected persons.
The State Governor, Tanko Al-Makura, advised the participants to live a positive life.
The Governor also appealed to Nigerians to show more support to people living with HIV/AIDS instead of stigmatisation.
The occasion featured presentation of Certificates of Attendance and distribution of the empowerment tools to enable the beneficiaries start their own businesses.
