Copter_Crash_SceneFour bodies have been recovered and taken to the hospital from the scene of the helicopter crash that occurred at the Oworonsoki end of the Lagos Lagoon.

Channels Television’s Yomi Otaigbe, said that officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in conjunction with the police and locals recovered the bodies during rescue operations.

Six persons were rescued alive from the crash.

She further noted that 12 people were on board the helicopter adding that four are believed to have died, while two other persons are yet to be found.

An unidentified helicopter had earlier crashed into the lagoon behind the Oworonsoki Police Station.

An eyewitness said the incident occurred at about 3PM on Wednesday, August 12, afternoon.

The chopper was coming from the Ikeja axis of Lagos State when it made a loud noise before nose-diving into the Oworonsoki end of the Lagos lagoon.

The Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ranti Adebule, also visited the crash siteh.
