A group who claimed to be workers of the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) in Effurun, Delta State, are protesting their alleged unlawful disengagement by the management of the institute.
The said workers took to the streets of Effurun while appealing to the Federal Government to look into the issue.
They demanded for their reinstatement into the institution and payment of their entitlements.
Reacting to the protest, the Assistant Director, Public Affairs of Institute, Mr Brown Okanifelime, debunked their claims, insisting that the institute is not indebted to them.
Mr Okanifelime also said that the PTI had no contract staff among its personnel.
