The Governor made the pronouncement after inspecting illegal dump sites and waste management processes, as he ends his one week working visit to Karu Local Government.

Some government officials, who spoke on the effect of environmental pollution on the area, also  identify encroachment into government properties by land speculators as a major challenge facing the local government.

After listening to their submission on compensation paid out on some of the land, Governor Al-Makura gave his verdict on the issue of public health and waste disposal, reintroducing monthly sanitation.

The one week official visit of the Governor to Karu Local Government, a boundary town to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) highlights issues of public health, land control and security for the good of all.

Governor Al-Makura on Thursday flagged off the Angwuan Hashimu Road and clearing of the Abuja-Keffi express drainage and setbacks in Karu council area.

He had earlier on expressed worries over the delay by the Federal Government to release a 40 billion Naira development fund to neighboring states to the FCT.
