pdpThe leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged members to stop apportioning blames for failing during the last presidential elections.

The acting National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, made the appeal at the first national conference of the party in Abuja since the party lost out in the April 2015 polls

According to him, it was time for members to support and sustain ongoing efforts to re-position the party for victory at the next general elections.

Leaders of the party said that it was time to look inward and re-position for the 2019 general elections.

The PDP, as part of efforts to put its house together, had set up a post-election committee that investigated the reasons for their poor outing at the April 2015 polls.

Since the submission of the report by the committee, the party has held several meetings targeting how to regain power in 2019.

Both the Senate Deputy President, Ike Ekweremadu, and the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Olusegun Mimiko, also took a swipe at the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying it has not kept to its campaign promises for citizens’ welfare and respect for the rule of law.
