efccThe Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says the problem of corruption in Nigeria outmatches its limited resources.

The anti-graft agency said it would seek the support of the international community to be able to meet up with the anti-corruption fight demand.

In a meeting with the Norwegian Anti-corruption Network called ‘Corruption Hunters Network’ in Abuja on Saturday, the Chairman of the EFCC, Mr Ibrahim Magu, sought international support, stressing that the commission is making efforts to ensure that it meets up with the mandate of setting it up.

“The only way to meet up with the mandate for setting up the agency in the face of limited resources is to seek the support of the international communities in the area of capacity building,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman House Committee on Financial Crimes, Kayode Oladele, who represented the Speaker of the House of Representatives at the meeting promised to give legislative back-up to the anti-corruption crusade.
