ekiti drivers-Imo-policeThe Imo State Command of the Nigerian Police Force will soon commence the delivery of free medical services to the general public, as part of its Corporate and Social Responsibilities to the people of the state.

The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Taiwo Lakanu, disclosed this when the leadership of the state command visited Nigerian Red Cross, Orphanage and Motherless Babies Home along Orlu Road in Owerri, Imo State capital, to donate food items and essential materials.

The Police boss in the state said that the leadership of the Nigerian Police Force, led by the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, was conscious of regaining public trust and partnership which he stressed was a panacea to getting useful information that would no doubt assist the security agencies in fighting crime.

He said that the Police would in no distant time commence some humanitarian services in appreciation for the cooperation and support from the civil populace.

Responding, the state Vice Chairman of the Red Cross, Keke Chima, expressed delight saying the visit and donation for the first time from the Nigerian Police Force, is an indication that change has come to the nation.
