Nyanya

NyanyaThe trial of Abdulazeez Muhazab and four others suspected to be masterminds of the twin blasts that rocked Kuje and Nyanya areas of the Federal Capital Territory on October 2, 2015, has been stalled.

This is following an application by the federal government seeking to protect its witnesses.

At the resumed trial in Abuja, the prosecutor, Magaji Labaran, argued his application for the protection of witnesses on the ground that one of the witnesses to be relied upon by the federal government lost his life in questionable circumstances.

Lawyer to two of the accused persons, Mr Nureni Sulyman, however opposed the application saying his clients have been paraded before the public and anyone who is willing to testify against them should be able to do so in open court.

Justice Abdu Kafarati, after listening to the arguments by both counsels adjourned the case till February 5 for ruling.
