pdpNigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has its eyes on getting back to prominence at the centre in 2019.

The party has vowed to reclaim the power it lost to the All Progressives Congress, APC at the 2015 elections.

The PDP, after its National Working Committee meeting in the nation’s capital on Thursday, said that it remains the only true national political party well equipped to hold the national character of the country.

In a statement by its National Secretary, Professor Adewale Oladipo, the PDP said that it is resolute in taking back power in 2019 through its branding project

The party also resolved after the meeting to work towards a reform programme which it says will culminate in the summoning of a caucus meeting in the coming week.

Thereafter, the Board of Trustees and National Executive Council meetings will also be convened to approve the draft guideline for the congresses and national convention.
